Lynx Wines employs a total of nine staff on a full-time basis.
One of the highlights of the year for the staff is the Bastille Festival in Franschhoek.
A part of the Festival is the Walk to Freedom, which starts at the Victor Vesteer Prison (where Nelson Mandela was released), and goes past the Lynx Farm and into Franschhoek. Some of the farms participate by building floats towed behind a tractor.
In 2007 Lynx had an Eiffel Tower which all the staff helped create. In 2008 we constructed an enormous bunch of grapes. The staff proudly wore their red berets and Lynx fleece tops.
Another event at the Festival is the Barrel Race. Lynx is easily visible by their yellow “Lynx Racing Team” t-shirts. In 2006 Lynx were runners up, whilst in 2007 they dropped out after the third heat.

Helgard van Schalkwyk joined Lynx Wines in October 2010 as Assistant Winemaker. Helgard studied winemaking at Stellenbosch University and has experience in New Zealand and South Africa.
Theunis Brandt joined Lynx Wines is 1999 as Farm Manager, and is responsible for the vineyards.
